This self-paced , online course introduces kindergarten students to basic social studies concepts through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Students will explore their family, community, and school, learning about roles, responsibilities, and the importance of cooperation and respect. The course covers fundamental ideas about culture, traditions, and celebrations, as well as the basics of geography such as maps and community landmarks. Through interactive activities, stories, and games, young learners develop an understanding of how people live and work together, fostering social awareness and empathy in a flexible, supportive learning environment. Parents are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. Parents will gain insights into their child’s unique learning needs, including understanding diagnoses such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learn strategies tailored to their child’s preferred learning style—visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. The platform provides activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills at home, essential for early academic success. Additionally, parents receive respectful, adaptive approaches to support their child’s social and emotional development at their own pace. The platform introduces accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), to customize learning for each child. Families have access to downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance to help nurture their child’s social understanding throughout the course. This course includes 6 months of access to all materials and resources.
