This self-paced , online course introduces second-grade students to the basics of community, geography, and cultural awareness. Students will explore family traditions, community roles, and the importance of rules and responsibilities. The course also covers simple map skills, such as recognizing landforms and using cardinal directions. Through stories, songs, and interactive activities, students develop an understanding of cooperation, respect, and how people contribute to their communities. This flexible learning environment encourages curiosity and social awareness while building foundational skills. Parents are supported through a dedicated online platform offering expert guidance and practical resources. Parents will gain insight into their child’s diagnosis—such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)—and learn strategies tailored to their child’s unique learning style, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. The platform provides activities designed to strengthen fine and gross motor skills that support reading, writing, and social studies learning. Additionally, parents receive respectful, adaptive methods to support their child’s academic progress at their own pace. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help customize instruction to each child’s abilities. Families also have access to downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance to foster a positive learning experience. This course includes 6 months of access to all materials and resources.
