This self-paced , online course introduces first-grade students to foundational social studies concepts through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Students will explore families, communities, and neighborhoods, learning about roles, traditions, and the importance of cooperation and respect. The course covers basic geography skills such as understanding maps, directions, and community landmarks. Through stories, songs, and interactive activities, students develop an awareness of cultural diversity and social responsibility. The flexible learning environment fosters curiosity, empathy, and a sense of belonging. Parents are supported through a dedicated online platform that provides expert guidance and practical resources. Parents will gain insight into their child’s diagnosis—such as autism, dyslexia, intellectual disability, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)—and learn strategies tailored to their child’s unique learning style, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. The platform offers activities to strengthen fine and gross motor skills, essential for academic success. Additionally, parents receive respectful, adaptive strategies to support their child’s social and academic growth at their own pace. Accessible educational tools, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), help tailor instruction to each child’s needs. Families also benefit from downloadable resources, a supportive community, and ongoing professional guidance throughout the course. This course includes 6 months of access to all materials and resources.
