8th Grade Language Arts - Semesters 1 & 2

This Language Arts 8 course focuses on strengthening critical reading and writing skills. Students engage with increasingly complex literature and informational texts to improve their ability to independently analyze, evaluate, and critique texts. Through close reading, discussions, presentations, and purposeful writing, students deepen their understanding of texts while refining their communication skills. The course emphasizes the use of technology to support reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language development. Students also explore diverse perspectives and cultures through reading and listening activities. Completion of this course fulfills the eighth-grade English requirement. This covers the full-year, including Semester 1 and Semester 2.
